Hi, I'm your host, Karena Thek, author and founder of Scolio-Pilates®

I began creating the exercises when I was told there was “nothing you can do for your scoliosis and back pain.” Refusing to take “no” for an answer, I dove head first into understanding existing scoliosis-specific exercises and how to apply them in the Pilates environment. Today, I travel internationally to teach Scolio-Pilates to Pilates Instructors, physiotherapists, and other medical professionals so that they may help those living with scoliosis. Outside of my scoliosis passion, you’ll find me in the water, on the water, or talking and reading about large bodies of water. I may be a fish, or I may be the missing link between dolphins and humans. Time will tell.
