Scolio-Pilates: Enhancement webinar
Adults & Scoliosis
with Danielle Valette, PT
Understanding Changes Through the Years
As we age, changes in bone density, posture, and muscle balance can contribute to the development or progression of spinal deformities such as scoliosis, kyphosis, or sagittal imbalance.
This session shines light on the complex and often under-recognized condition of Adult Spinal Deformity, including its causes, symptoms, and how it differs between degenerative (De Novo) scoliosis and curves that persist from adolescence.
You’ll gain clarity on how spinal alignment impacts pain, mobility, and quality of life, and how the partnership between Schroth-based schools and Scolio-Pilates® provides effective, conservative strategies for long-term spinal health.
Key Focus
Understanding the Aging Spine
How spinal changes develop over time, including bone density loss, muscular imbalance, and postural adaptations that contribute to adult scoliosis, kyphosis, and sagittal imbalance.
Recognizing and Assessing Adult Spinal Deformity
Learn how to identify key clinical signs, interpret imaging and posture findings, and distinguish between degenerative and adolescent-onset curves.
Integrating Movement for Stability
Discover how Schroth-based techniques and Scolio-Pilates® principles complement each other to restore alignment, improve strength, and enhance quality of life.
Empowering Long-Term Management
